The famous standup comedian Chris Rock was born in Andrews, South Carolina, on 7 Febuary 1965. After some years of his birth, his parents moved to Crown Heights, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. His father, Julius Rock, worked as a truck driver and his mother, Rosalie, worked as a social worker for the mentally disabled.

Rock is the eldest child among seven children of his parents. His younger brothers Tony, Kenny and Jordan are also involved in the entertainment industry. One of the oldest stepbrothers, Charles, passed away in 2006. 

Rocky firstly attended James Madison High school nearly all-white public school, but white students regularly beat him up due to racial discrimination by skin color. Then he dropped out of school. Later he joined the General development test service and received a GED certificate.

Chris began his career as a comedian in 1984 by performing in nightclubs and comedy clubs in New York City. Initially, Chris Rock presented his skills in the oldest comedy club, Catch rising star, and slowly his way went upward through the rank and file in the comedy industry. 

In 1987, Chris was offered the playboy mansion valet in Beverly Hills Cop II movie by Eddie Murphy. Likewise, in 1990, he was selected as a host for the hugely popular comedy series Saturday Night Live and hosted 59 episodes there in three years.

Then after he also starred in two of Time Warner's HBO comedy specials, Bigger & Blacker and Never Scared, in 1994 and 2004, respectively. He also released a book Rock, which deals with his comedic performance.

Talking about Chris's personal life, Chris married his long-time girlfriend Malaak Compton, On 23 November 1996 in a private ceremony. 

The couple together has two daughters. However, the couple could not continue their married life and divorced in 2016. Chris again falls in love with a beautiful actress Echikunwoke, and they begin dating each other. After some years of dating, the couple could not continue their relationship and broke up.
