Joe Amabile is an American reality television star best known for his appearance on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. He has also competed compete on Dancing with the Stars season 27 where his dancing partner was professional dancer Jenna Johnson. Amabile got engaged to his fellow BIP star Serena Pitt following his break up with his now ex-girlfriend Kendall Long.

Born to Italian Dad and a Norwegian Mom

Joe Amabile was born Joseph Anthony Amabile on April 12, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois, the United States. His father is Italian while his mother is Norwegian. His parents raised him with his younger brother John Amabile in Illinois.

Amabile was nicknamed Grocery Store Joe because he previously was a Hegewisch neighborhood grocer. As for his educational background, Amabile graduated from Holy Cross High School.

Joe Amabile was a co-owner of a grocery store, Eric's Food Center, in Chicago, Illinois. He was nicknamed Grocery Store Joe as soon as he appeared on The Bachelorette season 14.

He competed on the show for the heat of Becca Kufrin but was eliminated very earlier. Garrett Yrigoyen was the winner of the season.

Amabile currently hosts a podcast titled Click Bait with Bachelor Nation along with Tia Booth and Natasha Parker.

Competed in Dancing with the Stars with Jenna Johnson

In 2018, Joe Amabile compete in Dancing with the Stars season 27 with his professional dance partner Jenna Johnson.

However, they were eliminated on November 12, 2018, becoming the fourth runner-up. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess were the winners of the season.

Engaged to Girlfriend Serena Pitt After Kendall Long Split

Joe Amabile appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 5 in 2018, where he fell in love with his partner Kendall Long and developed a romantic relationship. However, they broke up in the fifth week. They reunited outside the show and dated until they parted ways again in January 2020.

Amabile returned to compete on Bachelor in Paradise season 7 in 2021, where he made a new girlfriend Serena Pitt. The couple got engaged at the finale of the show.
