Kenan Thompson is an American actor and comedian popularly known for his longest appearance as a cast member of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. He has played the title character in the film Mighty Ducks franchise, Good Burger, and  Fat Albert

On April 7, 2022, it was announced that Kenan Thompson and his wife Christina Evangeline had been separated for over a year, but they remain to co-parent their two daughters. Are they just living separately or have already got a divorce? Let's find out. 

Born in Columbus, Ohio

Kenan Thompson was born on May 10, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio, the United State of America. At an early age, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his family. His father is Fletcher Thompson and his mother is Elizabeth Ann Thompson. He grew up with his two siblings, an older brother Kerwin Thompson and a younger sister Felecia Thompson.

At the age of 5, his mother enrolled him in acting classes. He played the role of Toto for the first time in a church production of The Wiz. He continued his acting appearing in different school plays. He also gave an audition for a theater company, The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA).

He completed his higher education at Tri-Cities High School and then later he attended Santa Monica College in California.

Acting Career

Kenan Thompson has played several roles at an early age and his first big-screen appearance was in 1994 in the movie D2: The Mighty Ducks.

He has also played supporting roles in movies like D3: The Mighty Ducks, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, and Snakes on a Plane. Thompson was a regular voice actor as a Sue Sezno in the Fox cartoon series Sit Down, Shut Up in 2009.

On September 23, 2015, Thompson appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside former All That co-star Kel Mitchell. Moreover, in 2019 he also appeared as a judge for NBC's comedy competition series Bring the Funny.

Similarly, he has appeared in several other television shows and films. On May 13, 2022, he is set to appear in the revival of The Kids in the Hall, released on Amazon Prime Video.

In 2003, Kenan Thompson became a cast member of Saturday Night Live as a sketch comedian where he started as a featured player. After 2 years he has been promoted to repertory player in 2005. He worked on the show for 15 seasons becoming the longest-tenured cast member in Saturday Night Live history.

Has He Got a Divorce with Wife Christina Evangeline?

Kenan Thompson has been married to Christina Evangeline. He married his wife in November 2011 in a private ceremony at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.

The couple was in a relationship for a period of 3 years before marriage. They are parents to two daughters, Georgia Marie of age 7, and Gianna Michelle of age 3. 

After a marriage of 11 years, the husband and wife thought to quit the relationship as a mutual decision and they are separated for the last 1 year. Evangeline announced that they had been separated for over a year on  April 7, 2022.

Despite the two living individually, they are not officially divorced as of now, but it might happen soon.
