Lauren Graham is an American actress and author who came into highlight after portraying Lorelai Gilmore on The WB comedy-drama series Gilmore Girls for which she was nominated for Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Satellite Awards.

Graham has been dating renowned American actor Peter Krause. The two co-starred as brother Adam Braverman and sister Sarah Braverman in the NBC drama series Parenthood.

Parents Divorced When She Was Five

Lauren Graham was born as Lauren Helen Graham on March 16, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to parents Lawrence Graham and Donna Grant. Her father is a candy industry lobbyist and has been the National Confectioners Association president. Her mother, meanwhile, was a fashion buyer.

Her maternal grandfather was a Baptist minister and she was raised being Catholic. Graham is of English, Irish, and Scottish descent. She has lived in Japan for years when her father worked for the (USAID) in Vietnam.
