Matt Lauer was once the highest-paid news anchor and TV personality whose net-worth, at his peak, topped $120-150 million. His career had a noteworthy take-off once he joined NBC's most popular 'The Todays's show' in 1992. 

He earned a full-time role in the same show in 1994 and there was no looking back for the anchor since then as he began hosting programs for the Discovery Channel and MSNBC. 

He was also famous for hosting an annual five-day segment until 2009 called, 'Where in the world is Matt Lauer?' for which he traveled extensively to various places like Bhutan, Iran, Croatia, The Panama Canal among others. He reported on the significance of those locations on the show.

Matt's career took a downfall when he was fired from NBC following a sexual harassment and assault allegation by an undisclosed colleague through several years since the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014. 

The scandal hit his rocky marriage to Dutch model, Annette 'Jade' Roque quite hard and they got divorced on September 7, 2019. Lauer had to pay her $20 million as a settlement for the same.

He sold his Southhampton's bay-front home for $3.6 million in 2016 and purchased Richard Gere's property in North Haven which had two homes in one compound for $36.5 million that same year.

The property is a treat for the eyes which has a 12-bedroom, 12-bathroom, 12,000-square foot mansion, a separate tea house located on the edge of a private pond. It also includes a basketball court, a 60-foot pool, and 300 feet of sandy beach on the bay, everything one can ever dream of!

He had listed the house for sale at $44 million dollars and has slashed prices two times since. The house is still struggling to find a new owner following the stigma attached to his disgraced name.

Near this magnificent building, Lauer and then-wife, bought Bright Side Farm in 2012. Spread across 40-acre, this farm is located in the Water Mill area and the couple reportedly paid a whopping $3.5 million. 

Hamptons cottages and gardens reported that the properties “include a 24,000-square-foot, temperature-controlled indoor ring, two outdoor rings, a cross-country field, a derby field, and access to trails in the woods beyond.”

He also owns another massive 25-acre property around Sag harbour that includes an 8,000 square-foot house which was once listed for $18 million but now is available on the market for $12.75 million.

Following his love for horses, Lauer and then wife Annete bought another 16,000 acre ranch in New Zealand in 2017 for $9million. He retains the ownership of the luxurious horse home.

Millionaire travels with style. The same goes for Lauer, who has been spotted driving around Hamilton in his several luxurious car collections including BMW, Range Rover Sports, Jeep Sahara Wrangler, Toyota Landcruiser. He is also seen riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle occasionally.
