Furthermore, Dr. Miami published a virtual plastic surgery iPhone app in 2009. The software allowed the audience to release pictures of them undergoing surgery. Similarly, Salzhauer has been passionate about music since he was a child. Although, he pushed for a career as a surgeon and decided to renew his passion for music.

 In 2012, he produced a video titled Jew can Sam with the Jewish punk band The Groggers. The video features a young Jewish man opting for rhinoplasty to please a girl. Later on, the American Society of plastic surgeons started an investigation. Both Salzhauer and the band were accused of playing into Jewish stereotypes and promoting plastic surgery.

Similarly, Dr. Miami was nominated for the eighth annual shorty Award in the Snapchatter of the year category in 2016.  He was in second place, losing DJ Khaled. In the following year, he landed his reality show, Dr. Miami, which WE TV declared. The series ran for six episodes on WE tv, which premiered on March 31, 2017.

Furthermore, he came up with recording artist Adam Barta and released a Flawless song. The song reached No.24 on the Billboard dance singles chart and also managed to rank  32 on the Billboard hot club dance chart.

Michael Salzhauer met first with Eva Zafira during his college time. After their first met, the love birds start dating each other.

After spending quality time, the couple tied the knot in 1995. Information regarding his married life is not public yet.
