Michael Capponi is an American businessman who is well-known for helping to develop Miami Beach's nightlife. He has also done humanitarian work through his Global Empowerment Mission foundation. He has not been married but was previously in a relationship with his girlfriend Brooke Biederman.

Parents Got A Divorce When He Was Young

Capponi was born as Michael Jean Francois Capponi on April 5, 1972, in Knokke, Knokke-Heist, Belgium in Belgium. At the age of six, he moved to Miami with his parents. He was raised as a single child in Key Biscayne.

He was very young when his parents got a divorce. Michael Capponi holds an American nationality and is of white ethnicity.

When he turned 15, he started working as a promoter for nightclubs where he used to organize events and post flyers. He was still in high school when he was doing this job.

Underwent Surgery After a Coma

Capponi joined a methadone program in Belgium where he fell into a coma. It was later confirmed that he had a benign brain tumor to remove which he had to undergo surgery. He then joined a detox program in Canada.

Career

Michael Capponi is one of the most successful nightlight pioneers. In the 1980s, he promoted roving parties in order to attract a wide range of rich locals and celebrities.

Capponi previously worked as a developer with his business partner Gregg Covin. They both used the parties to promote real estate projects in the areas where celebrities and wealthy investors reside.

Capponi then started doing humanitarian work. In 1999, he started a campaign for disaster relief aid during the war in Kosovo by organizing nightclubs.

Following the August 2004’s Hurricane Charley in Florida, he, along with American Red Cross, organized relief efforts for the hurricane victims. They had also teamed up for a fundraiser campaign for the Thailand tsunami victims in December 2004.

As for the relationship status of Michael Capponi, the 49-year-old businessperson has not been married yet. However, he is currently dating a beautiful girl named Brooke Biederman.

The couple first met in May 2014 and eventually started their romance. His girlfriend is 20 years younger than him.

The couple had a tragic boat accident in March 2015. The two were seriously injured and were hospitalized following the accident. At the time, Capponi felt fears that his girlfriend Biederman doesn't remember who he is.

Michael Capponi seems to be a multi-millionaire, however, the businessman has not disclosed how much he earns an annual salary. Sources have estimated his net worth to be $50 million.

In 2010, he established Capponi Construction Group with a goal to renovate the Terra Veritatis, a 16-bedroom mansion in Miami Beach that he completed in 2013. According to The Wall Street Journal, the project was $40 million  and it was "the most expensive renovation in the Miami area."
