Ruthless was initially founded by Eazy-E and Herry Heller but was passed on to Tomica after the untimely death of Eazy-E just after marriage with Tomica due to HIV Aids. 

After the unfortunate death of Eazy-E, the company almost collapsed but after 2 years of hard work, Tomica was able to keep it alive and intact.

Career before becoming CEO

Before becoming CEO of record company she was working in Tabu Records as secretary for Clarence Avant. Through Avant, Tomica was able to meet Eric and get married to him. After more than 10 days of their marriage, the record Label was passed on to her.
