Peter Krause is an American actor and director best known for his portrayal of Nate Fisher in Six Feet Under (2001–2005). Born to Teacher Parents

Krause was born on August 12, 1965, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the United States. Both his parents were teachers: his father was a high school English teacher while his mother taught second-grade students. Krause was raised in Roseville, Minnesota, along with two siblings, brother Michael Krause and sister Amy Krause.

Krause spent his childhood being dedicated to gymnastics. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, from where he graduated with an English literature degree in 1987. He has studied at New York University where he received a degree in Master of Fine Arts in Acting.

Made Acting Debut in Beverly Hills, 90210

Peter Krause made his acting debut with a small role in Beverly Hills, 90210 in the early 1990s. From 1990 to 1991, he appeared in the sketch comedy series Carol & Company by Carol Burnett. He then appeared in numerous television shows such as Cybill and Sports Night. 

In 2001, Krause was cast as series regular Nate Fisher in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under. He appeared on the show until 2005 and for his performance in Six Feet Under, Kruse earned two Screen Actors Guild Awards and was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.

In 2004, Krause appeared in a revival of Arthur Miller's After the Fall on Broadway. Later in December 2006, portrayed Detective Joe Miller, in the Syfy Channel mystery drama series, The Lost Room. He has since appeared in Dirty Sexy Money, Parenthood, Caroline in the City, Beastly, and The Catch.

Romantic Relationship With Girlfriend Lauren Graham

Peter Krause has been in a relationship with beautiful American actress Lauren Graham. The two first met each other when they appeared together on season 1 of Caroline in the City in 1995. They bumped into each other again in 2002 when they attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Krause and Graham became friends in 2010 when they appeared as brother Adam Braverman and sister Sarah Braverman in the NBC television series Parenthood. In the same year, they started dating.
